Independent Contractor Service Terms

Fotolancer Creator Agreement & Code of Conduct

Standard terms of engagement for registered freelance cinematographers, candid photographers, drone pilots, and editors on the network

Last Updated: October 2026

The Creator Guarantee: Fotolancer is built by visual artists for visual artists. We guarantee ₹0.00 platform commission on every shoot, secure escrow advance before you travel, and verified hardware protection so you can focus entirely on your visual craft.

1. Engagement & Non-Exclusive Independent Contractor Model

1.1 Independent Status: You are engaging with studios through the Fotolancer network as a self-employed independent professional contractor. This agreement does not constitute an employment contract or agency.

1.2 Non-Exclusive: You remain 100% free to book direct wedding clients, collaborate with other studios, and operate your own photography business. You control your availability via the Mission Calendar.

1.3 Zero Commission: Fotolancer will never deduct 15%–20% cuts from your agreed day rate. Every rupee negotiated with the studio belongs strictly to you.

2. Verified Hardware & Redundancy Standards

To uphold the luxury standard of Indian destination weddings, creators agree to adhere to the following technical benchmarks:

Dual-Slot Camera Bodies:

Camera crew must operate dual-slot bodies recording simultaneously to redundant memory cards for all key rituals.

Continuous Power & Fast Glass:

Adequate batteries, chargers, and fast prime or f/2.8 zoom optics to handle challenging low-light banquet venues.

Drone Pilots (DGCA Compliant):

Drone operators must hold valid DGCA remote pilot certification, drone third-party insurance, and propeller guards.

Post-Production Workstations:

Editors must utilize color-calibrated 100% sRGB/DCI-P3 reference displays and professional non-linear suites (DaVinci/Premiere).

3. Media Handoff & Data Integrity SLA

3.1 Same-Night Ingest: For on-location camera crew, all raw image and video footage recorded during the day must be handed over to the studio lead or DIT station prior to departure from the venue, with MD5 checksum verification.

3.2 Card Retention: Creators agree not to format their primary memory cards for at least 72 hours after the event wrap to act as a secondary safety mirror until the studio completes redundant local backup.

4. Professional Code of Conduct on Luxury Shoots

Zero-Tolerance On-Site Standards:
  • Professional Attire: All crew must wear professional all-black or formal studio attire as specified in the call sheet.
  • Strict Sobriety: Absolutely zero consumption of alcohol or recreational substances during working call-sheet hours at wedding banquets.
  • Non-Solicitation: Creators represent the booking studio on the shoot floor. Creators shall strictly NOT solicit private gigs, pass personal business cards, or attempt to undercut the booking studio with the wedding couple.

5. Payout Milestones & Dispute Resolution

5.1 Payouts are released directly to your verified bank account or UPI upon verification of successful shoot wrap and media ingestion.

5.2 In case of studio disputes, the platform milestone escrow desk reviews call sheet time stamps and DIT offload logs to ensure immediate and fair dispute resolution within 48 hours.
